Backpaker Wanna Be : Day 1

Setelah perjalanan 1 jam 30 menit dan akhirnya kami sampai di Changi Airport, ok please do not compare Soetta to Changi because it’s obviously different. Changi is so tidy with all the facilities in it. Setelah melewati imigrasi sana, kami jalan-jalan sebentar, melihat-lihat Changi. Ah ya, we bought the sentosa 1 day play pass at Changi Recommends turun satu lantai dari lantai 1 Terminal 1, kenapa beli disitu? karena kata mba-mba airport, disana lebih murah  . It was cheaper 4 SGD and we also bought the Song of the Sea tickets [no discount for it].

After that we go to the MRT Station at Terminal 2 [or you can get there from Terminal 3 also] and you don’t have to worry, Changi has skytrain for each three terminal, you won’t get lost. From reviews, it’s better to have an Ezlink, it provide ease of any public transportation in Singapore. We add value to our Ezlink Card.

We take a rest for a while, we craving for lunch. I think it is easy to find halal food at Bugis area, there are Masakan Padang, Warung Pariaman, and a lot of Arab Food. We chose arab food then. Ashar at Sultan Mosque and after that, we go to Marina Bay. Marina Bay is on the red line, so from Bugis we transit in Raffles Place Station to continue to the Marina Bay Station on the red line. We had to have a long enough walk to Marina Bay, but it’s ok, this is our first day city tour, right?!

Actually one of my friends is a permanent resident in SNG now, we met at night then I ask him to drive us to Orchard Road. He did. Not only sightseeing to Orchard Road [That was Friday night and for the first time, I felt the traffic jam in Orchard Road] but also to Chatsworth Road, the point of Indonesia Embassy, tepatnya di 7 Chatsworth Road, Singapore 249761. He explained us that the Chatsworth is like Menteng area in Jakarta, so quiet road, many big houses, and no public transportation to there. You just simply take the MRT to Redhill Station and take a taxi to there or take the 132 bus from across Redhill Station [if I’m mistaken] and you have to walk from Tanglin Shuttle Bus a little bit far. I think it is important for Indonesian to know where the Indonesia Embassy is, by procedure, Indonesian have to do the registration there [or online] for their own good and for the better administration.
